Angel Roeser on LinkedIn: Campaign Update! May 28, I made it official and filed for Kansas House… (2024)

Hey everyone! I wanted to officially announce on my personal account that I am running for the Kansas House of Representatives, District 67. For me, this journey started on a couch eating Oreos. Seriously! That’s when I got the call opening the door of even *thinking* about running a campaign this fall. After the idea was to proposed to me, logistics were laid out, and all I had to do was say yes, Joshua and I made the decision together to launch this campaign after hours of prayer and days of seeking wise counsel. This decision was ultimately based on the calling I have to advocate for, and invest in, a community that has invested so much into me. It is important to me that Manhattan is represented by someone who is an accurate reflection of what Manhattan truly is — a community that puts disagreements aside, finds the logic when discussing solutions to problems, and prioritizes the betterment of our future. After all, we plan on raising our kids here. My God-children live here. This is our home! That being said, I am overtly aware that running a campaign takes time, money, and PRAYER! I want to start by saying thank you to those who volunteer their time (and donate their hard-earned money) to this civic cause. A very special thank you to anyone who prays for me, Joshua, and the campaign. Your prayers are felt on our end and I am so incredible grateful. To Ashley and Peter, you’re two of my best friends and you helped launched me into this chapter and I’m so grateful for the two of you. To my other half, thank you for being the steady support and loving partner to brave this chapter with me. Thank you to my team — Isabelle, Lauren, Tom, & others for your spirit and gifts you share. And to my family, mentors, and community investors, I’m so happy you’re here and part of this journey. Let’s go earn that seat at the table. I have big news! I’m taking a group to Passion Conference 2024! When I first brought this to University Christian Church, I knew that I wanted to be part of a mission that can help connect Christians all around the world through worship, travel, and devotion to the One True King. I am blessed to announce that Joshua Roeser and I will be leading a group of men and women across the country to do so! Whether you’re part of the UCC Family or not, we would love for you to join us. Passion will be taking place in Atlanta, Georgia in the famous Mercedes-Benz Stadium January 2-5, 2024.
